Baylor University East Village Dormitories- Waco, TX
As Baylor continues to flourish, Chaparral has had the privilege to work on a variety of new facilities. For almost 40 years, no new residence halls were constructed on the Baylor campus. In August 2014, the university will debut its third such facility in the past decade, as 700 students move into the East Village Residential Community.
The two four-story buildings of East Village feature a variety of living spaces, from semi-suites to apartment-style living for students from freshmen to seniors, plus study and classroom spaces, student lounge areas, academic suites for five faculty in each building, and apartments for a faculty master, resident chaplain and other staff members. A third building will accommodate more than 500 students for meals and include retail space for a bakery, yogurt shop and a convenience store.
